An Act To Ensure Integrity in Students' Proficiency
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §6209, sub-§2-A is enacted to read:
2-A. Proficiency assessment. A teacher other than the teacher involved in the instruction of students in the subject area of an examination must administer and evaluate the results of the examination when it is used to determine proficiency in the areas described in subsection 2.
SUMMARY
This bill provides that a teacher other than the teacher involved in the instruction of the students taking an examination in the subject area of the examination must administer and evaluate the results of the examination when it is used to determine proficiency in the areas described in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 20-A, section 6209, subsection 2.
