An Act To Require That Traffic Lights Default to Flashing Mode between the Hours of Midnight and 6 a.m.
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §2057, as amended by PL 2007, c. 348, §§21 and 22, is further amended by adding at the end a new paragraph to read:
A traffic-control device must default to rapid intermittent flashes of the colored lights between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 a.m. with yellow flashing lights on primary roads and red flashing lights on secondary roads.
SUMMARY
This bill requires that traffic lights default to a flashing mode between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 a.m.
