Amend the bill in section 2 in subsection 2 in the last line (page 1, line 29 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " may $1,000 must" and inserting the following: ' not more than $1,000 may'

SUMMARY

This amendment is the majority report of the committee. The bill proposes a mandatory $500 fine for a person who sells or transfers a firearm to a prohibited person. The amendment changes the mandatory fine to a discretionary fine of up to $500.
