Amend the amendment in section 2 by striking out all of the first line (page 1, line 14 in amendment) and inserting the following:
‘Sec. 2. 22 MRSA §2353, sub-§4 is enacted to read:’
Amend the amendment in section 2 in subsection 4 by striking out all of paragraph C (page 1, lines 32 to 36 in amendment)
Amend the amendment in section 2 by striking out all of subsection 5 (page 2, lines 4 to 18 in amendment)
SUMMARY
This amendment removes the provisions of Committee Amendment "A" providing limited immunity from criminal prosecution for those who seek medical assistance when a person is experiencing an opioid-related drug overdose and the immunity from civil or criminal prosecution for providing education on opioid-related drug overdose prevention or for purchasing, acquiring, distributing or possessing naloxone hydrochloride unless the person's actions constitute recklessness, gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
