Amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting the following:
‘An Act To Designate Pure Maine Maple Syrup as the Official State Sweetener’
Amend the bill in section 1 in §228 in the first paragraph in the first line (page 1, line 4 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " Maple" and inserting the following: ' Pure Maine maple'
SUMMARY
This amendment specifies that pure Maine maple syrup, instead of maple syrup as proposed in the bill, is the official state sweetener.
