Amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting the following:

‘An Act To Add Conditions That Are Debilitating Medical Conditions under the Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Act’

Amend the bill by striking out everything after the enacting clause and before the summary and inserting the following:

Sec. 1. 22 MRSA §2422, sub-§2, ¶D,  as amended by PL 2013, c. 361, §1, is further amended to read:

D. Any other medical condition or its treatment as provided for in section 2424, subsection 2; or

Sec. 2. 22 MRSA §2422, sub-§2, ¶E,  as enacted by PL 2013, c. 361, §1, is amended to read:

E. Post-traumatic stress disorder, inflammatory bowel disease, dyskinetic and spastic movement disorders and other diseases causing severe and persistent muscle spasms . ; or

Sec. 3. 22 MRSA §2422, sub-§2, ¶F  is enacted to read:

F Anxiety, insomnia, depression, Tourette's syndrome, autism or Parkinson's disease.

SUMMARY

This amendment strikes from the bill the provisions that remove from the Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Act the requirement that a patient's medical condition be debilitating. The amendment provides that anxiety, insomnia, depression, Tourette's syndrome, autism and Parkinson's disease are debilitating medical conditions under the Maine Medical Use of Marijuana Act.
