The General Fund
revenue loss resulting from a decrease in the number of speeding tickets
issued is estimated to be $68,563 in fiscal year 2011-12 and $97,949 in
fiscal year 2012-13. In addition,
there will be a reduction in Other Special Revenue Funds revenue from a
reduction in related surcharges and fees.
Additional costs to the Department of Transportation associated with
new speed limit signs on that portion of Interstate 95 referenced in the bill
can be absorbed with existing staff and within existing budgeted resources. |
