This legislation requires certain individuals to pass a boating safety course prior to operating a noncommercial motorboat beginning January 1, 2014. The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will require a part-time Recreational Safety Coordinator and funding for contracted clerical assistance, materials, supplies and other costs to provide these courses beginning in fiscal year 2013-14. |
