The bill's provisions making patient registration voluntary would likely result in a reduction in revenue collected by the Department of Health and Human Services that cannot be determined at the current time. Because the Medical program is required to be self-funded, the department would need to decrease costs or increase other fees as a result. The additional cost to the Department of the Attorney General can be absorbed utilizing existing budgeted resources. |
