The Board of
Veterinary Medicine and the Board of Licensure of Podiatric Medicine within
the Office of Licensing and Registration, Department of Professional and
Financial Regulation will require Other Special Revenue Funds allocations
totaling $13,983 per year beginning in fiscal year 2011-12 to contract with
an agency to operate a podiatrist health program and a veterinarian health
program. This estimate assumes a cost of $17.50 per licensee. The actual cost of the program may be
higher or lower depending on actual experience. According to officials at the Department of
Professional and Financial Regulation, there are sufficient funds within each
board's existing budget to absorb the cost of this legislation without
increasing fees. |
