|
The General
Purpose Aid for Local Schools program within the Department of Education will
require a one-time General Fund appropriation of $250,000 in fiscal year
2011-12 for the costs associated with contracting with a statewide policy
research institute to develop a regional adjustment to the salary and
benefits costs of teachers and other school personnel based on the cost of
housing in the counties in the State. |
|
Any additional
costs to the Maine State Housing Authority and the State Planning Office to
consult on the availability of reliable housing cost data by county and the
procedures necessary to annually review and update the cost of housing factor
can be absorbed within their respective existing budgeted resources. |
