The provision in
this legislation that assesses a 20% reduction in state subsidy for education
on any school administrative unit that does not comply with the requirement
to provide all students in grades 1 to 8 with at least 20 minutes of daily
physical activity may result in a significant increase in the local cost of
K-12 public education for non-compliant school administrative units. The impact to individual school
administrative units can not be determined at this time. |
