This
legislation proposes to reduce the amount distributed to Maine Clean Election
Act candidates during the 2012 election cycle to 20% less than the amount
distributed during the 2010 election cycle.
This reduction will result in an Other Special Revenue Funds
deallocation of $655,538 in fiscal year 2011-12 to the Commission on
Governmental Ethics and Election Practices due to reduced payments to
qualifying candidates. |
