|
Any
impact of this bill is contingent on approval by the voters at
referendum. Dedicating 0.125% of sales
and use tax revenues to the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife
(IF&W) for the sole purpose of protecting fish and wildlife in the state
will result in revenue losses to the General Fund of approximately $1.18
million per year and will reduce revenue sharing by approximately $62,000 per
year. If the percentage of sales and
use tax revenues to be dedicated to IF&W were adjusted to 1.25% as the
sponsor of this bill indicates would align with his intentions, then this
bill would dedicate between $11 million and $12 million to the IF&W. |
