This amendment
reduces the funding to the Motion Picture, Musical and Digital Media
Incentive Program Fund in the Department of Economic and Community
Development by $1,000,000 per year by reducing the amount that the State
Controller will transfer by January 1st of each year from General Fund
undedicated revenue to the Motion Picture, Musical and Digital Media
Incentive Program Fund for rebates. It
also requires the State Controller to transfer $1,000,000 per year to the
Finance Authority of Maine for the Visual and Digital Media Loan Fund. As amended, this bill includes Other
Special Revenue Funds allocations of $24,000,000 in fiscal year 2012-13 and
$49,000,000 annually beginning in fiscal year 2013-14 to the Office of
Tourism within the Department of Economic and Community Development to
provide rebates to eligible motion picture companies. The Finance Authority of Maine does not require
an allocation for its program and none is reflected in the numbers above. |
