| Suspending classification of land under the Maine Tree Growth Tax Law if that land is harvested using bonded labor under the federal H2 bonded labor program or if the landowner fails to file the required notification report may result in a small increase to General Fund revenue through the assessment of additional Commercial Forestry Excise Tax. Any additional administrative costs to the Department of Conservation can be absorbed with existing staff and within existing budgeted resources. | ||||||
