This legislation
proposes to eliminate distributions of funds to candidates in uncontested
legislative or gubernatorial primary elections. This elimination will result in an Other
Special Revenue Funds deallocation of $230,720 in fiscal year 2012-13 to the
Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices due to not paying
candidates in uncontested primaries.
This estimate assumes initial payment amounts to qualifying candidates
will increase by 4% each election and that there will be 280 Legislative
uncontested candidates. |
