Amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting the following:
‘An Act To Amend Maine Law Regarding Employment Practices for Certain Minors’
Amend the bill by striking out everything after the enacting clause and before the summary and inserting the following:
‘Sec. 1. 26 MRSA §774, sub-§1, ¶B, as amended by PL 2003, c. 53, §1, is further amended to read:

Sec. 3. 26 MRSA §774, sub-§1, ¶F, as amended by PL 2003, c. 53, §1, is further amended to read:

This amendment extends the hours a student may work when school is in session. It extends the hours of work permitted per week from 20 to 24 and it extends the hours of work permitted per day from 4 to 6. The amendment removes language pertaining to authorized school closures and hours of employment. The amendment also changes the hour to which a student may work on a day preceding a scheduled school day from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.
