Amend the bill by striking out all of section 3 (page 1, lines 14 to 18 in L.D.) and inserting the following:

This amendment strikes that part of the bill that prohibits the Department of Conservation, Bureau of Parks and Lands from permitting timber on land to be harvested using persons employed under the federal H2 bonded labor program. Instead, this amendment prohibits the Department of Conservation, Bureau of Parks and Lands from contracting with an entity for harvesting timber if the entity participates in a federal program that customarily provides temporary foreign labor to fulfill that contract.
