Resolve, To Prohibit Smokers from Receiving MaineCare Benefits

Sec. 1. Department of Health and Human Services to amend rules. Resolved: That the Department of Health and Human Services shall amend its rules governing the MaineCare program to provide that a person who smokes is not eligible to receive benefits under the program and that, in order to be eligible to receive benefits under the program, a person must attest to the fact that the person does not smoke.
