Amend the amendment in Part JJ in section 40 by inserting after subsection 1 the following:
‘2. The 4 authorized land use planning positions transferred pursuant to subsection 1 continue to have the land use planning responsibilities and must perform the duties that were required of those positions pursuant to Title 5, former chapter 311 and rules adopted pursuant to that chapter. The Commissioner of Conservation shall submit suggested legislation that codifies the duties and responsibilities of these transferred positions in Title 12, Part 8 to the joint standing committee of the Legislature having jurisdiction over state and local government matters no later than December 17, 2012. The joint standing committee may submit a bill regarding that submission to the First Regular Session of the 126th Legislature.’
Amend the amendment in Part JJ in section 40 by renumbering the subsections to read consecutively.
Amend the amendment by relettering or renumbering any nonconsecutive Part letter or section number to read consecutively.
