Amend the bill in section 3 in §224-A in subsection 1 in the 3rd line (page 1, line 26 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " $20,000  $40,000" and inserting the following: '$20,000'

Amend the bill in section 3 in §224-A in subsection 1 in the last line (page 1, line 30 in L.D.) by inserting after the following: " 1320." the following: ' Fees or expenses of prosecution pursuant to section 1319 or witness fees pursuant to section 1320 may not be paid from the account if the payment of those fees or expenses would reduce the balance in the account below $5,000.'

Amend the bill in section 3 in §224-A in subsection 2 in the 7th line (page 1, line 37 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " $20,000  $40,000" and inserting the following: '$20,000'

This amendment removes from the bill provisions that increase the amount that may be retained in an account in each prosecutorial district for extradition and prosecutorial expenses from $20,000 to $40,000 and it provides that at least $5,000 in the account must be available for extradition expenses.
