An Act To Improve Maine's Renewable Energy Portfolio Standard
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 35-A MRSA §3210, sub-§3-B is enacted to read:
3-B. Renewable energy credit multiplier. The value of a renewable energy credit for electricity generated by an efficient resource is 150% of the amount of the electricity. The renewable energy credit multiplier must be accounted for when renewable energy credits are used to satisfy the portfolio requirements of subsections 3 and 3-A.

This bill applies a 150% renewable energy credit multiplier to energy produced by efficient resources as defined under the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 35-A, section 3210, subsection 2, paragraph A.
