Amend the amendment by striking out all of the 2nd indented paragraph after the title (page 1, lines 14 to 17 in amendment) and inserting the following:
It is not unlawful public accommodations discrimination, in violation of this Act, for a public or private entity to restrict access to a locker room or shower facility in a way that takes into account the legitimate privacy concerns of all members of a biological sex regardless of sexual orientation.’
SUMMARY
The amendment removes rest rooms and bathrooms from the list of facilities for which it is not unlawful public accommodations discrimination to restrict access based on privacy concerns.
