Resolve, To Consolidate the State's Boat Launch Programs

Sec. 1. Boat launch program. Resolved: That the Department of Conservation and the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, referred to in this resolve as "the departments," shall work jointly to develop a plan to combine their boat launch programs into one program under the Department of Conservation. Under the plan, the departments shall reconfigure their duties and, based on the reconfiguration, make appropriate department changes as necessary; and be it further

Sec. 2. Report. Resolved: That, no later than December 1, 2011, the departments shall submit a report outlining the progress on the combination of the boat launch programs to the Joint Standing Committee on Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry and the Joint Standing Committee on Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. The departments shall submit proposed legislation to implement the plan to combine the boat launch programs to the Second Regular Session of the 125th Legislature no later than March 1, 2012.
