An Act To Allow Access to Pseudoephedrine by Prescription Only
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 17-A MRSA §1101, sub-§4-A, as enacted by PL 2005, c. 430, §1 and affected by §10, is amended to read:
4-A. "Methamphetamine precursor drug" means any drug or product possessed by a person that contains pseudoephedrine or in the aggregate a quantity of more than 9 grams of ephedrine , pseudoephedrine or phenylpropanolamine or their salts, isomers or salts of isomers, either alone or in combination with other ingredients, in dry or solid nonliquid form.
SUMMARY
This bill requires a prescription to possess any amount of pseudoephedrine.
