‘Sec. 1. State Board of Education rulemaking. Resolved: That the State Board of Education shall amend its rules in Chapter 125, Section 6, subsection 6.02, paragraph B to increase the length of the average instructional day to 5 hours and 45 minutes by January 1, 2012; and be it further
Sec. 2. Appropriations and allocations. Resolved: That the following appropriations and allocations are made.

This amendment is the minority report of the Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs and directs the State Board of Education to amend its rules in Chapter 125, Section 6, subsection 6.02, paragraph B to increase the length of the average instructional day from 5 hours to 5 hours and 45 minutes by January 1, 2012.
