An Act To Authorize Parents with Power of Attorney To Make Decisions Regarding the Education of Their Adult Children
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §7258, sub-§4 is enacted to read:
4. Parent participation. A parent who has power of attorney may make education decisions for an adult child with mental retardation, serious emotional disturbance or other developmental disabilities who will be transitioning to adult services.
