An Act To Allow Vietnam Veterans To Receive High School Diplomas Posthumously
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §4722, sub-§6, ¶C, as enacted by PL 2001, c. 85, §1, is amended to read:
C. The person must have left secondary school either:
(1) Before or during World War II to serve in the Armed Forces during World War II; or
(2) Before or during the Korean Conflict to serve in the Armed Forces in the Korean Conflict . ; or
(3) Before or during the Vietnam War to serve in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War.

This bill allows those veterans who left secondary school to serve in the Vietnam War and who died to receive a posthumous high school diploma.
