Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 12 MRSA §11152, sub-§8 is enacted to read:
8. Transfer of antlerless deer permit to family member. A person who holds a valid antlerless deer permit may transfer that permit to a family member who holds a valid hunting license by identifying the name, age and address of the transferee on the permit as well as any other information reasonably requested by the commissioner and then returning the permit to the department prior to the start of the open firearm season on deer. For the purposes of this subsection, "family member" means a spouse, parent, stepparent, child, adopted child, stepchild or sibling.
