An Act To Authorize the Inclusion of Information Regarding Blood Type on Driver's Licenses

Sec. 1. 29-A MRSA §1402-B  is enacted to read:

§ 1402-B.  Blood types

A licensee or a nondriver identification card holder under section 1410 may request that the person’s blood type be designated on that person’s license or nondriver identification card during the process of obtaining or renewing a license or nondriver identification card. The Secretary of State shall print the license or nondriver identification card with the licensee’s or card holder’s blood type in a manner similar to the notation of anatomical gifts in section 1402-A.

This bill allows a person to have that person's blood type listed on a driver’s license or nondriver identification card in a manner similar to the anatomical gifts listing on driver’s licenses.
