This legislation
allows individuals to register wild turkeys electronically rather than
through a tagging agent. Beginning in
fiscal year 2011-12, the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will
require a General Fund appropriation of $16,800 for the cost of Informe to
maintain the electronic system.
Additionally, General Fund revenues will be reduced by $22,400
beginning in fiscal year 2011-12 as these individuals will no longer need to
pay the tagging fee. This cost and
revenue loss assumes 80% of the individuals who tag wild turkeys would
register electronically. |
