The collection of additional fines may also increase General Fund revenue by minor amounts.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
The bill includes a Highway Fund allocation in fiscal year 2010-11 to the Department of Transportation to reopen and maintain the rest area in Pittsfield and to maintain for public use the Medway scenic overlook on a year-round basis.
Additional costs to the Department of Transportation and the Maine Turnpike Authority associated with posting of the loitering prohibition at all rest areas can be absorbed within existing budgeted resources.
