Fiscal Detail
and Notes |
This
bill requires the State to pay 75% of the costs of closing municipal
landfills that meet certain criteria.
It is assumed that there are three licensed municipal landfills likely
to be eligible to receive such funding and that the state share for these
costs would be $550,000. Typically,
state participation in costs of this nature have been paid from bond
proceeds. As no bond proceeds are
available at this time, this fiscal note assumes funding from the General
Fund over two years. |
