The general operating expenses of this study are projected to be $5,070 in fiscal year 2009-10. The Legislature's proposed budget includes $20,000 in fiscal year 2009-10 for legislative studies. Whether this amount is sufficient to fund all studies will depend on the number of studies authorized by the Legislative Council and the Legislature.
Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of Economic and Community Development has indicated that it does not have the resources available internally to provide staffing services to the panel and will need to contract for those services. The Department estimates the one-time General Fund cost in fiscal year 2009-10 to be between $8,000 and $15,000. This estimate is based on services being required for approximate 20 - 25 hours per week for 20 weeks at a cost of $20 - $30 per hour. |
