Eliminating Maine
Clean Election Act funding for gubernatorial candidates would result in an
Other Special Revenue Funds deallocation to the Commission on Governmental
Ethics and Election Practices of $3,600,000 in fiscal year 2009-10 and
$1,800,000 in fiscal year 2010-11. It
would also result in a reduction in Other Special Revenue Funds revenue of
$81,250 in fiscal year 2009-10 from reduced qualifying contributions. |
|
This
bill does not address the $2,000,000 transfer from the General Fund to the
Maine Clean Election Fund that occurs every January 1 per Title 21-A, c. 14,
section 1124. |
