Preliminary Fiscal Impact Statement
Potential current biennium savings - All Funds
Fiscal Detail and Notes
State agencies would experience savings from eliminating longevity payments and placing restrictions on merit pay increases.  The overall impact of these changes will depend on the results of the collective bargaining process and can not be estimated at this time.  During FY 08 the General Fund paid $1,427,683 and the Highway Fund paid $849,280 in longevity payments to Executive Branch employees.
