Assumes
all state funds will be required to restore reimbursement to private
non-medical institutions (PNMIs) for bed-hold days up to 45 days annually per
resident determined to qualify for medical or therapeutic absences and up to
7 days annually for personal or family-related absences. The estimated cost is based on recent
experience in reimbursing for bed-hold days, assumes no MaineCare funds would
be allowable to reimburse these costs and would offset savings assumed in PL
2007, c 539 and subsequent Department of Health and Human Services
regulations to limit and then eliminate bed-hold day reimbursement. |
