Fiscal Detail
and Notes |
This
legislation would require the Secretary of State to include within the ballot
question of citizen initiatives a fiscal impact statement prepared by the
Office of Fiscal and Program Review and information from the petitioner on
how the cost will be paid. If a
citizen's initiative were to be included on a future ballot, and the length
of the fiscal impact statement requires a second ballot to be printed, the
Secretary of State would incur an additional cost of $107,250. |
The Office of
Fiscal and Program Review can absorb the minor additional costs associated
with providing estimates of the fiscal impact of proposed direct initiatives. |
