This bill
proposes issuance of licenses for hotels to have minibars in guest
rooms. It is estimated that 100% of
hotels currently holding a liquor license will participate and that 80% of
lodging establishments will participate.
These licenses would result in additional General Fund revenue of
$103,750 beginning in fiscal year 2009-10.
The Department of Public Safety would require a General Fund
appropriation of $154,841 in fiscal year 2009-10 and $135,958 in fiscal year
2010-11 for a Public Safety II position, Office Associate II position and
related administrative costs. |
