The Judicial
Branch has identified the need for an Assistant Clerk position and related
costs to address the anticipated increase in small claims filings. The General Fund cost is $49,080 in fiscal
year 2009-10 and $56,782 in fiscal year 2010-11. The net impact of an increase in small
claims filing fees and a decrease in civil case fees is a General Fund
revenue increase of $8,564 in fiscal year 2009-10 and $13,175 in fiscal year
2010-11.
