Fiscal Detail and Notes
The Department of Education has requested General Fund appropriations of $250,000 in fiscal year 2008-09 and $18,000 in fiscal year 2009-10 for the costs associated with convening a stakeholders group to conduct the required analysis of the school funding formula.  The Department estimates the cost of contracting for services to perform the required analysis to be $250,000 based on existing contracts the Department has with outside contractors.  The Department also anticipates the need for the stakeholders group to hold approximately 10 meetings at a total cost of $18,000, including travel reimbursement for stakeholders and other meeting expenses.
