This legislation proposes to suspend the annual indexing of the excise tax on gasoline and special fuel until July 1, 2011 and would result in a reduction in General Fund revenue of $11,897 in fiscal year 2009-10 and $17,974 in fiscal year 2010-11. It would also result in a reduction in Highway Fund revenue of $9,887,962 in fiscal year 2009-10 and $15,074,870 in fiscal year 2010-11. The reduction in Other Special Revenue Funds would be $1,010,142 in fiscal year 2009-10 and $1,537,156 in fiscal year 2010-11 and would affect dedicated accounts within the Departments of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Conservation, and Marine Resources, as well as the TransCap Trust Fund within the Maine Municipal Bond Bank. |
