summary
This amendment is the minority report of the committee. The amendment changes the title, removes emergency provisions and provides an exemption from the penalties established for nonconforming school administrative units under the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 20-A, section 15696 because the school administrative unit would lose state subsidy as a result of the reorganization plan or if the reorganization failed to be approved by voters because one of the school administrative units participating in the reorganization process would lose state subsidy as a result of reorganization or because the reorganization plan would not have provided any greater educational benefit to students enrolled in one of the school administrative units participating in the reorganization process.
