An Act To Provide Incentives for Energy Conservation through Voltage Regulation

Sec. 1. 35-A MRSA §3105  is enacted to read:

§ 3105.  Voltage regulation technologies

An electric utility may recover from ratepayers the costs of and earn a 15% rate of return on investments and installations of voltage regulation technologies that reduce energy consumption, improve grid efficiency, raise or lower voltage as needed and are 99% or more efficient across at least 90% of the load curve.
