Amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting the following:
‘An Act To Allow the Electronic Registration of Wild Turkeys’
Amend the bill in the emergency preamble by striking out all of the 2nd indented paragraph (page 1, lines 3 and 4 in L.D.) and inserting the following:
Whereas, ‘an electronic system is needed to increase the efficiency of registering wild turkeys killed by hunters; and’
Amend the bill in section 1 in subsection 4 in the 2nd line (page 1, line 12 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " bear, deer, moose or"
Amend the bill in section 3 in subsection 1-A in the first line (page 1, line 26 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " bear, deer, moose or"
Amend the bill in section 3 in subsection 1-A in the 2nd line (page 1, line 27 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " animal" and inserting the following: ' wild turkey'
Amend the bill in section 4 in subsection 1 in the first line (page 1, line 31 in L.D.) by striking out the following: " animals" and inserting the following: ' a wild turkey'
Amend the bill by inserting after section 4 the following:
‘Sec. 5. Rules. By April 5, 2011, the Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife shall adopt rules pursuant to the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 12, section 12301A, subsection 4 to establish and maintain an Internet-based system to allow a person to register a wild turkey electronically.’

This amendment limits electronic registration to wild turkeys and requires the Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to adopt rules relating to electronic registration by April 5, 2011.
