summary

This bill amends the provision that authorizes the Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to establish the length of the moose hunting season by establishing a 3-week minimum moose hunting season while retaining the authority of the commissioner to determine the timing of those 3 weeks.

The bill also requires that the moose hunting permit type allocation parameters for Wildlife Management District 2 match the permit type allocation parameters that were in effect for Wildlife Management District 3 in the 2008 moose hunt.
