An Act To Allow Unimmunized Children to Attend School Upon Parental Waiver
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Maine as follows:
Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §6359, sub-§3, ¶C is enacted to read:
C. The student or the parent, if the student is a minor, has signed a waiver that states an acknowledgment and acceptance of the risk of allowing the student to attend school without the required immunization.

This bill allows a student who has not been immunized to attend school if the student’s parent or legal guardian signs a waiver acknowledging and accepting the risk of allowing the student to attend school without the proper immunization.
