An Act To Reevaluate the Scope of Coverage for the Childless Adult Waiver Program
Sec. 1. Appropriations and allocations. The following appropriations and allocations are made.

Initiative: Provides funds for the Department of Health and Human Services to contract for an independent survey of MaineCare members enrolled in the childless adult waiver program. The survey will be developed in cooperation with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to obtain a longitudinal profile of the health, employment and socioeconomic status of the waiver population, to develop an improved suite of benefits to better serve a greater number of people at reduced cost and to find efficiencies that will enable the State to better deploy its resources for improving the health and welfare of those whose incomes are below 100% of the federal poverty level.
