‘Resolve, To Create a Spring Bear Hunt’
Amend the bill by striking out everything after the title and inserting the following:
‘Sec. 1. Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to create a spring bear hunt. Resolved: That the Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife shall adopt rules to create a spring bear hunting season. Rules adopted pursuant to this section are routine technical rules as defined in the Maine Revised Statutes, Title 5, chapter 375, subchapter 2-A.’
SUMMARY
This amendment is the minority report of the committee. It turns the bill into a resolve and directs the Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife to create by rule a spring bear hunting season.
